Another Cheesy Party serves the Twin Cities area for fromage-related events. Our theme for 2023 is raclette, which is a French and Swiss specialty from the alps region.
Wheels of aged raw milk cow’s milk cheese are sliced in half and heated with an extra hot element that melts and bubbles the cheese. It is then scraped from the wheel onto a waiting plate of potatoes, bread or sausage. The French verb “racler” means to scrape, which is where the word raclette comes from.
We have several options for raclette parties, but our standard raclette meal includes raclette cheese, charcuterie assortment, cornichons, potatoes and green salad:
We follow the French salad tradition of featuring one vegetable per side. This showcases the unique flavor of each vegetable, with different vinaigrettes and herbs in each optional salad add-on:
Venues
We can cater your raclette event “chez vous” (at your site) or “chez nous” (at our place) in Bugdahl Hall, one hour east of the Twin Cities in Maiden Rock, Wisconsin.
We also do Cheesy Weddings! Raclette is a great meal for your special occasion. The salads and sides are served buffet-style and your guests are encouraged to move around as they come back for more melted cheesy raclette goodness.
