Have you always wanted a cheesy wedding? It’s a great time to be a cheesehead! Another Cheesy Party caters your raclette wedding at Bugdahl Hall, one hour east of Saint Paul, Minnesota in the Driftless region of Wisconsin, America’s Dairyland.
The Venue
Bugdahl Hall is the brainchild of Master Stairbuilder Gary Peterson. Eclectic decor, sky-high ceilings and custom millwork complement the vintage maple basketball floor of the Maiden Rock schoolhouse. It shares the historic brick building with the Maiden Rock Inn, a bed and breakfast in the Driftless region of Wisconsin, also known as America’s Dairyland.
The venue is climate controlled and offers a buffet line, bar, stage, individual table seating, lounge areas and restrooms. The hall rental is $3,500 and can accommodate 50 restaurant style (individual tables), 70 group seating or up to 130 guests cocktail style.

2023 is the year of the Raclette Wedding! Raclette is a fun, delicious meal that is great for groups of any size. Our wedding raclette dinner starts at $60 per person and includes:
- Raclette cheese, potatoes, charcuterie assortment, choice of 3 salads
- Raclette service
- Sparkling and still water
- 2 bar drinks per guest – beer, wine or fruit juice
- Plates, glassware, flatware, napkins
- Individual dessert

- Aperitif Cremant: Alsatian-style cocktail hour with sparkling wine and beer, mini sandwiches and flammekeuche (Alsatian flatbread with onions, bacon or mushrooms and cream)

- Cafe Gourmand: Plated dessert assortment with French pastries and espresso

Why Choose Raclette?
Raclette is a great way to appreciate something you love (melted cheese) or to try something new. While some of your guests will likely have tried raclette with a home grill using small pans, the experience of real raclette scraped as it melts from the wheel is like no other. The rind of the raclette cheese is concentrated in flavor and is usually removed from commercial raclette cheese slices. When you have authentic raclette from the wheel, you’ll get to try this grilled savory rind, which the Swiss call “la religieuse” – a truly religious experience.
Vegetarians and omnivores alike will appreciate the options of fresh, colorful salads that accompany your meal. Charcuterie is served buffet style so guests can focus on the meats or the cheese (or both!) and have a great time, without requiring separate orders for vegetarian meals. We can also provide vegan charcuterie, but no vegan cheese is available at this time. All dinner items are gluten-free. Please inquire if gluten-free desserts are needed.

Dining Room Events
- Civil wedding ceremony for smaller groups – an ordained minister is available on site to assist with vow preparation, officiate ceremonies or perform readings
- Groom’s Dinner or Gift Opening Brunch for up to 20 guests
Photoshoot Access
- You and your photographer will love the variety of settings for indoor wedding photoshoots. The Maiden Rock Inn showcases beautiful artwork by painter and designer Jennifer Peterson and custom millwork by Gary Peterson. Unique features include a spiral stair, rooftop deck, stone fireplace, local and vintage memorabilia and warm lighting.
- Local outdoor photo opportunities include the rocks and coulees of Maiden Rock Village, Lake Pepin (one block away), railroad tracks, bluffs, forests and of course the brick schoolhouse exterior of the Maiden Rock Inn.
All Access Inn Pass
- Four double guest rooms available for one or two night rental. Each rooms has a private bathroom, bathtub or shower and queen or king bed.
- Your wedding party can take advantage of several common areas before and after the big party – fireplace room, sauna, lounge, dining room.
- The Maiden Rock Inn and Bugdahl Hall will be closed to the public for your event.
